新版本全方位支持微软32位的Window7操作系统，并且包括了经AIA认证的兼容新的GenICam2.0标准的CVB GenIcam驱动。
针对特定应用的新工具已经整合到了安装程序中（DVD光盘）。新工具包括CVB Movie 2，它是非常流行的CVB Movie工具的继任者。使用CVB Movie 2，可以将文本数据（例如时间戳）记录到AVI格式的数据流中。这些数据在图像数据中不可见，但是它已明确的签写到了每一幅图像中。这个工具还包括CVB MOVIE INTERACTIVE 2应用程序，它提供了全面的录制和处理功能，避免了使用者自己开发。
CVB 10.2还包括两个新的3D应用的工具。CVB Metric 3D是一款对3D点云（3D point clouds）数据进行校正的强大工具。在真正的3D测量实施之前，Metric 3D工具使用一个指定校准目标对3D点云的各个数据进行特定校正。
CVB Merge 3D工具是一款对3D图像数据融合的工具。激光三角测量方法常用于产生3D图像的数据。激光线的局部遮挡可能造成3D数据中未定义区域的出现。为了减少此类遮挡的危险，CVB Merge 3D工具可以将多个相机从不同角度对同一激光线拍摄的图像进行合并。

STEMMER IMAGING, Europe's largest imaging technology provider is proud to announce Version 10.2 of the Common Vision Blox (CVB) programming library.
The new version fully supports the 32 Bit version of MS Windows 7 and includes the AIA certified CVB Genicam driver that is compatible to the new GenICam Standard version 2.0.
Special new tools for particular applications are also integrated on the DVD. The new tools include CVB Movie 2, the successor of the very popular CVB Movie tool. With CVB Movie 2 additional text meta data (e.g. time stamps) can be recorded into the AVI container. This data is not visible in the recorded image, but explicitly assigned to this individual image. The tool also includes the CVB MOVIE INTERACTIVE 2 application, which offers comprehensive recording and processing functions without the need for own development.
CVB 10.2 also incorporates two new tools for 3D applications. CVB Metric 3D is a powerful calibration algorithm for 3D point clouds. The tool uses a specific calibration target for the individual calibration of 3D point clouds before realizing real measurements in 3D.
In case laser triangulation is used for generating 3D images, local occlusions of the laser line might lead to undefined areas in the 3D data. CVB Merge 3D allows to merge the views from several cameras and dirfferent angles of the same laser line to one height image to minimize the risk of these occlusions.
